This slug originally came out at 830 grain. The tail cavity part of the mold has since been redone to improve stability by changing weight biase. The slug comes out as 550 grain now and seems to be nice and stable.

Foster slug is 550 grain, large "diablo" is 520 grain. Cast then the skirt is swaged.

Machined body of 1045 steel. Buna u-cup seal, with nylon sleeve to eliminate any potential scoring of the chamber tube.

The piston. This is the main valve. The bumper has since been replaced with one made from neoprene which is not attached to the piston. This reduces it's mass and improves opening time.

The valve stem shown didn't last long. During testing at 500psi, the o-ring "departed". The new stem uses a teflon seal and the hat is threaded onto the shaft.
