This is another illustration of another dream vision in which I saw a dark storm and an Olive Tree upon a hill. As I watched the tree was struck by a huge bolt of lightning giving it a golden fiery appearance. I heard one spoken word "Shekinah". It is the same word as in the previous dreams of a different Olive Tree also sitting upon a hill which also was struck by lightning followed by the word "Shekinah".

This is a drawing of the Native American man I see in my dreams. It isn't exactly like him but it's close. I'm still not good at drawing people. Looking Horse has been appearing in my dreams for a few years now, bringing me messages from my "Grandfathers" and "Grandmothers". He speaks in his native tongue and I am able to understand and speak to him in dreamtime; although in my waking life I do not know any native languages. I do have Cherokee ancestry on my Mother's side of the family, her father was Cherokee and her mother was Cherokee and Scot/Irish. I do not know what nation he is from but believe he's possibly Lakota. My impression of this is based on his clothing. He seems to be from another era in time. He is soft spoken, very handsome and quite tall. He appears to be in his late twenties or early thirties. I have asked him who he is but aside from telling me his name he says it is unimportant who he is and it is the message that is important. Recently he has been appearing nearly every night bringing a similar message as in previous dreams with added information.

This is the second of two illustrations. They are both of a dream vision in which I see a portal open in the sky. In the first I see two hooded dark riders with glowing red eyes coming through. That first dream was in 2006. This one occurred yesterday October 10, 2009. In this one a storm was in full force when I saw the portal open and there were many dark hooded, red-eyed riders emerging. Hundreds of them. I asked the one with me in dreamtime who they were. "Ephesians 6:12" was the only reply.

Grover Newman was head of the first household where I lived in the Episcopal Community of Celebration, Woodland Park,CO. The photo background is a view of Pikes Peak from community grounds. I added the John Wayne pics because Grover so admired the man that he attached a lifesize photo of him to the ceiling of the bathroom in our Family Bldg. That made me laugh when first I noticed it. Grover's ways were much like John Wayne too. He was a Righteous man and I both loved and respected him.

About this poem "Sorrow" I began the writing of this many years ago and never could get beyond the first four lines. Then a few nights ago I was awakened from sleep hearing a song being sung and as I sat up another few lines came to me and I wrote them down. Yesterday I sat in silence and was able to finish the poem. I had always known this poem was about deep sorrow mine and yours. What I had not realized until yesterday is that it also is about the first near death experience and those that followed which set my feet upon a most hallowed path. A journey that leads me backward and forward with detours and side roads along the way. A journey outside space and time where paths cross, yours and mine...and it is here in these moments of crossing however brief or long our lessons are learned, yours and mine leading us always to some higher place of being. *** mcyoung may 4,2009
